Admission Requirements and Procedures

BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry

 

Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level holders: Applicants should have a H2 Level pass in Chemistry and a H2 Level pass in either Physics or Mathematics.

Polytechnic Diploma holders: Applicants should have a relevant diploma. Click here for an interactive database.

International Baccalaureate Diploma holders: Applicants should have a pass in Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics at Higher Level.

NUS High School Diploma holders: Applicants should have a major CAP of 2.0 in Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics.

Holders of other qualifications (including international applicants): Applicants should have a good grade in Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics at the senior high school level, equivalent to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level or International Baccalaureate.

BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with Second Major in Food Science and Technology (CHFS)


Applicants to the CHFS programme should meet the minimum subject requirements for the BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry programme (above). Additional interviews and/or tests may also be required. During their course of study, CHFS students are required to maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher. Failure to maintain this GPA minimum will lead to a transfer into the Chemistry and Biological Chemistry (CBC) programme, without a second major in Food Science and Technology.

Students originally admitted into the BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry programme may apply to transfer into the CHFS programme after their first year, based on their first year results.
