Active
Topological Photonics
Research Project Leader and PhD students
CDPT is establishing a new 5 years long research programme funded by the
National Research Foundation Singapore. The programme aims to develop both fundamental theories and practical devices in active
photonics by utilizing the concept of topology. The special emphasis will be
laid on lasers with robust performances, and sensors with enhanced sensitivity.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates with keen interest in optics,
theoretical and experimental topological photonics to be leading research fellows
on the programme. The candidates should have a PhD in optical physics or closely
related subjects.
The project will be carried on in the groups of Associate Professor Baile Zhang and Associate Professor Yidong Chong at the main campus
of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
The Project Leader position is available from early 2021 for 1 year with
possible extension. The position will remain open until it is fulfilled. Competitive
salary will be depending on experience. The PhD scholarships are available for
the August 2021 intake of NTU.
For any inquiries contact, Associate Professor Baile Zhang (blzhang_at_ntu.edu.sg),
Associate Professor Chong Yidong (Yidong@ntu.edu.sg) or Dr Giorgio Adamo (G.Adamo_at_ntu.edu.sg)
and copy your correspondence to cdpt-recruit_at_ntu.edu.sg. Please provide
complete CV summarizing your research activities, a motivation letter, an
exhaustive list of publication, and the contact details of at least two
referees.
