Plasmonics of topological insulator crystals
Dr. Xinxing Sun obtained his PhD degree in physics from Leipzig University, Germany in Mar. 2017, where he worked on phase transformations and switching of chalcogenide phase-change material films prepared by pulsed laser deposition. From Mar. 2017 to Feb. 2018, he was a research fellow at the Leibniz Institute of Surface Modification, Germany. Dr. Sun is currently a project leader at the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies (CDPT) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research at CDPT focuses on the growth and characterization of topological insulators and phase-change chalcogenides, as novel materials for plasmonics and nanophotonics, using state-of-the-art MBE systems.
